RAMP Yojana (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance)
RAMP Yojana (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) is a central government scheme launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in 2022 with support from the World Bank.
Key Features of RAMP Yojana:
1. Objective:
To strengthen the MSME sector by improving access to markets and credit, strengthening institutions, and supporting policy reforms.
2. Duration:
5 years (2022–2027)
3. Budget:
Total project cost: Rs. 6,062.45 crore, with World Bank assistance of Rs. 3,750 crore.
4. Key Components:
- Policy and Institutional Reforms
- Improved Market Access
- Credit Access for MSMEs
- Technology Upgradation
- Skill Development and Green Practices
5. Implementation Agencies:
- Central Government (Ministry of MSME)
- State Governments and Industry Associations
- SIDBI and other financial institutions
6. Target Beneficiaries:
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across India, especially those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
7. Integration:
RAMP works in tandem with other schemes like CHAMPIONS portal, Udyam Registration, and Skill India.
